First of all Sonali Bank (UK) Limited, at its six offices, provides expatriate Bangladeshis with banking service and facilities. Remittance or sending money back home is one such important regular service provided by Sonali Bank (UK) Limited. Remittances are made through electronic transfer or draft.
The Bangladeshi Taka, UK Pound Sterling and US Dollar can be remitted from UK. The remittance system of Sonali Bank (UK) Limited and its offices has been computerised in order to speed up the official transfer of money to Bangladesh and in a very secure manner.
Remitted money is now sent to 14 destinations directly and quickly. The computer printout remittance advice/payment order/TRA is available in the Sonali Bank branches back home that are delivered by courier or special messenger to the recipient bank - provided of course that the correct details were given by the remitter.
Sonali Bank assures safe and quick remittances to its own customers and through branches of all other banks throughout Bangladesh.
As a regulated Bank we also look after our valued customers to give them banking facilities such as opening an account with us. Attractive rates of interest are available in Savings Deposit Accounts, Fixed Deposit Accounts or our Gold Account. Credit balances in deposit accounts bear interest unless the customer stipulates otherwise. By prior arrangement with the Bank, deposits of large amounts can be invested in the money market for a fixed period at appealing rates of interest (negotiable).
In the near future we are going to introduce a new product - 'PREMIUM SAVING ACCOUNT' which will also provide a fine rate of interest.
